Our eight Church Stewards work as a team with our minister, David, to lead the church locally agreeing strategies and priorities to support our church mission, ‘Keeping God Central to our Lives, Making God Central to all Lives.’ .
As well as providing support to the minister, the stewards ensure the smooth running of the worship services of the church, welcoming the minister or preachers, ensuring the chapel and hall are prepared and notices are passed on, counting the collection and making sure everything is tidy and secure at the end of the day!
They are aided in this by a team of volunteers who welcome visitors, distribute books and notices and operate our sound and audio-visual systems.
Stewards are elected from within the membership of the church and usually serve for up to six years.
